Are you ready to take on an innovative hands-on engineering challenge that will directly contribute to cutting-edge spacecraft propulsion technology? Join our exciting 8-week internship where you’ll research, design, build and test a miniature solenoid actuator system.

In this project, you’ll explore precision actuation at a microscale, designing a solenoid-based system that delivers highly controlled motion in space-rated environments. You’ll tackle mechanical design, CAD modeling, system integration and control electronics, bringing your concept to life through rapid prototyping, testing and iteration.

From literature review to manufacturing and testing, this internship offers a full product development experience, ideal for students eager to work on real-world space engineering challenges.

 

Who should apply?

  • You’re studying Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
  • You have experience in mechanical design, electronics design and control systems.
  • You’re a team player who enjoys a challenge and want to develop your skills in a rapid prototyping design environment.
  • (Bonus) You have worked with solenoids in the past.
